Hi Everyone!! I am going to be riding in a show on June 30th/July 1st at Prince Georges Equestrian Center. This show is very exciting as it is "The PVDA Ride For Life". The show is a benefit dressage competition and exhibition for The Johns Hopkins Breast Center in Baltimore, Maryland. The past 2 years, this show has raised over 39,000 for JHU. Proceeds from the show benefit Quality of Life Research Fund at Johns Hopkins which provides the financial resources needed to support new and innovative research in the area of breast cancer survivorship. The goal is to help ensure that women not only survive, but have excellent quality of life after their treatment. As a competitor at the show, I am able to help raise money for Johns Hopkins by asking for donations, selling memorials and tributes to lost loved ones for the show program and collecting silent auction and raffle items. Contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law and checks should be made out to JHU. If you would like to have a memorial/tribute to a loved one in the show program, there is a form to fill out on the Ride For Life website, which is: www.pvdarideforlife.org, or you can call; 301-526-8273. If you are interested in advertising for your company or business, there are several packages available. There is more information on the website; www.pvdarideforlife.org There is also a fun evening planned on June 30th in the impressive indoor arena at the show from 4 to 8pm with a Dancing Horse Competition at 6pm where you can watch some of the areas best upper level horses and riders compete in a friendly atmosphere for a great cause.
