It has been a long time since the last blog entry! I have not been very good about getting updates posted, but I have help now. One of my students who is much better at computer stuff has signed on to help me keep the website updated and interesting! So check back often, I am going to try and do shorter blog entries and get them up once a week or maybe even more if I have the time.
 
So a lot has happened this spring and summer! The most exciting thing is that I am riding the Friesian stallion Lolke 371 Sport in the opening ceremonies at the World Equestrian Games. This is a great opportunity and I am really excited! There is going to be a blog on PVDA’s website that will follow our progress and training for this great event, so keep an eye out for that.
The other very exciting thing is that KM Dressage moved into their new and permanent home. The barn is owned by Gary and Laurie Mott and is located in Grasonville, MD. We are not very far from the Bay Bridge, so we have a prime location for not only clients on the Eastern Shore but also the Annapolis area. The barn is beautiful, bright and airy and has a great feeling, its the sort of place that you never want to leave! Right now we have 11 stalls and once the indoor ring is complete, we will have up to 20 (even more if we need them, but I think 20 will do for now :) ). We just got the permit for the indoor last week, it was a very slow process. I am sure those of you that have ever built anything know how slow this process can be…. add the Eastern Shore slow way of doing things to that and you have one long wait! They should break ground next week or so and I will post pics. We are very proud of our new home and we are even more proud of what we offer for the horses. We have the best care to offer, great turn out (different sizes of individual paddocks and larger ones for groups). We have a big outdoor ring with lights that is dragged daily (by me, which I enjoy doing very much… its an air conditioned tractor with a radio. Very relaxing thing to do in the early morning!). We had no problem filling all the stalls, we are already full with a waiting list. I will have one stall open Sept. 1st, so if anyone is interested, let me know.
Next entry I will give you a little bit of the daily routine and some of the horses in training and what they are working one. In the mean time, try to stay cool in this heat! Don’t forget to check us out on FB and become a fan of KM Dressage. I have posted some pics of the new farm on there.
